The Animated Feline Scarecrow was an improved scarecrow setup constructed by Gyro Gearloose.
Defined as a “better-scarecrow invention”, this 1969 creation of Gyro Gearloose's was a cat-like scarecrow who could leap out from a trapdoor when Gyro pressed a button inserted into one of the poles holding up his clothes-line. To better rest out the A.F.S., Gyro invented the Homing-Hummer, a whistle inaudible to humans, but which irresistibly attracted all species of birds.
