Attack of the Metal Mites is a cartoon written by Jeffrey Scott and directed by Rick Leon and Alan Zaslove. It features Fenton Crackshell, his alias Gizmoduck, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Webby Vanderquack, Flintheart Glomgold, Gyro Gearloose, and Dijon.

Plot

Flintheart Glomgold's scientists breed Metal Mites, which Glomgold can't wait to put to use on literally eating away at Scrooge McDuck's fortunes. After Gizmoduck attempts to confront the mites they eat his Gizmosuit! Can Fenton find the hero within himself before the Metal Mites feast on the Money Bin?

Metal Mites are bugs that eat metal. After eating something made of metal, they retain some of the original object's properties (e.g. being magnetic, being called to Fenton Crackshell when he says 'Blathering blatherskite!').
