Scrooge McDuck Wikia

Batman is a man of uncertain species.

Description[]

A masked superhero iconic for casting a looming pointy-eared shadow, Batman encountered Mickey Mouse and Goofy on separate occasions.[1] He was also present on Snee-Kah Peak for unclear reasons when Scrooge McDuck and his nephews investigated its value shortly after Scrooge's purchase of the thing; using his bat-themed disguise, Batman, shown to be a very diminutive individual despite the size of his shadow, was blending in with real bats in a cave.[2]

Several other versions of Batman exist in the multiverse. One of them once teamed up with Wyldstyle and a version of Gandalf on a dimension-traveling adventure which took them, among other destinations, to the Land of Oz, where they fought the Wicked Witch of the West.[3][NON-DISNEY]

Behind the scenes[]

Batman, an iconic "serious" Detective Comics superhero character who went through many incarnations, first made an appearance in the Prime Universe as a cameo in Don Rosa's 1988 story His Fortune On The Rocks. Mickey Mouse and Goofy were later confronted with the shadow of Batman in two covers of the French Journal de Mickey in 1995 and 2005.

Additionally, many Disney stories and characters have parodied, or at least riffed on, the concepts and characters of the Batman mythos. They include some takes on Donald Duck's superhero persona of the Duck Avenger, Fethry Duck's incompetent alias the Red Bat, and Darkwing Duck.
