Although an out-of-universe article about the writing of Family of Fore, rather than a narrative of its own, Bogford McDivot saw Cavazzuti and Lustig not only discuss the sources of inspiration for the story, but also brainstorm new information about where Bogey McDivot fell in the Duck Family Tree.
Lustig, who confessed to not having given the matter much thought while writing the story, flirted with the notion of Bogey being Jake McDuck's illegitimate son before landing on the notion that Quagmire McDuck had married and had two daughters, Elizabeth and Margaret; the former married a certain Mr McDivot (becoming Bogey McDivot's mother) whilst the latter married a Glomgold.
