Career
Originally an organist at the Isis Theatre in Kansas City, Carl Stalling was hired by his old acquaintance Walt Disney to compose musical scores for his cartoons in 1929. As such, Stalling is responsible for the score of a number of early Disney animated shorts, though he left the studio in 1930. He notably wrote the music for the song "Minnie's Yoo Hoo" (as heard in the cartoons Mickey's Follies and Minnie's Yoo Hoo).
