The Chez Swann is a restaurant in Duckburg.
Description
The Chez Swann is a restaurant in Duckburg. It opened in 1987. Gladstone Gander won an invitation to it's grand opening, for dinner for two. He meant to invite Daisy Duck, but she could not come. Gladstone was then obliged to invite Donald Duck instead. While Donald enjoyed the dinner, Gladstone did not, but this was due to the presence of Donald, and not any reflection on the restaurant itself. The restaurant has been described by Gladstone as "the swankiest restaurant in Duckburg".
Behind the scenes
The Chez Swann first appeared in 1987 in Some Ducks Have All The Luck. It appears to be named after the famous French novel Du côté de chez Swann.
