Dante Alighieri was a human man.


Dante Alighieri was an Italian poet from the 13th and 14th centuries. He wrote the foundational work of classical Italian literature that was The Divine Comedy, in which he was also the protagonist. In 1949, Mickey Mouse and Goofy, hypnotized by the sorcerer Abdul, were plunged in a supernatural dream based on the Divine Comedy, which concluded with Mickey meeting Dante himself, who helped him and Goofy escape the dream.
