Dawn of the Text is an unofficial title for a How Are Things In…? one-panel comic story written and drawn by Sivlia Ziche. It features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and a Caption Box.
Description[]
As he and Minnie run about using a placid Caption Box to shield themselves from heavy rain, Mickey Mouse comments that the square monsters do sometimes have their uses…
Continuity[]
- This story serves as a humorous epilogue to Casty's long-form adventure Night of the Living Text (2011), first printed alongside Dawn of the Text itself.
Behind the scenes[]
This story was first printed in Topolino #2900, and has never been printed in English.
Like many other similar one-panel cartoons by Ziche, the story was nameless in its first printing. Dawn of the Text is a fan-generated title which alludes to George A. Romero's self-spoof Dawn of the Dead, to match Night of the Living Text!’s English title being an allusion to Romero's notorious 1968 horror film, Night of the Living Dead.
