Day of the Only Child is a cartoon written by Bob Snow (along with DuckTales 2017's normal team of writers) and directed by Dana Terrace and Tanner Johnson. It features Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck, Webby Vanderquack, Launchpad McQuack and three Beagle Boys (namely Bigtime, Bouncer and Burger). It also features the debut of the DT-87 Drone and this series' version of Doofus Drake (alongside his parents, Mr and Mrs Drake, and his late grandmother Frances). Ma Beagle, Scrooge McDuckMrs Beakley and Donald Duck also get brief mentions, with the latter three being shown as cardboard cutouts. Duckworth is also indirectly mentioned.

Dewey Duck has succeeded in roping his brothers into a made-up holiday — "Only Child Day", where they can each pretend to be an only child. From Huey Duck, who, down two partners for the Junior Woodchucks Three-Man Cookout, ends up recruiting two Beagle Boys, to Dewey whose attempt at filming a mock late-night talk show ends in a drone attack, to Louie Duck who incites the ire of of psychotic heir Doofus Drake… chaos predictably ensues.
