Désiré "Des" Cibel is a man of unknown species.

Residing at 33, Onomatopeia Bd., Duckburg, Des Cibel was a self-described "mad sound designer" who sought to remake the 1956 classic The Silent World in a more modern version that would, in fact, feature sound. For understandable reasons, Cibel had trouble finding a production company to finance his project, and resorted to the classified ads of WAK! magazine in 1997.

Behind the scenesEdit

Des Cibel was only ever mentioned in Issue #21 of WAK!, which has never been published in English.
