Dewey Jr. is one of the many illusions within the House of Lucky Fortune the luck vampire, Toad Liu Hai, uses the lure unsuspecting guests. When Scrooge's family came after a distress call from Gladstone Gander, Liu Hai gave Dewey Jr. to Dewey Duck as a pet to convince Dewey and the rest of the family to stay.
