Deysi was a female anthropomorphic duck.
Description[]
The ward of Scrooge Al-Duck, Sultan of the Caliphate, Princess Deysi was once kidnapped and held for ransom by the Bey A'Ghel Pirates while on her way to an arranged marriage with the foreign lord Al-Ghander.
From the Bey A'Ghel Pirates she was again captured by a Terrible Roc, and, at long last, rescued by a simple sailor, Sinbad Duck. They bonded during and following this heroic rescue, and by the time they got back to the Caliphate, an angry Deysi announced that her marriage to Al-Ghander was definitively off the table and that if she did marry, it would be her savior.
As recorded in the Diary of Sinbad Duck, Sailor and Merchant, Sinbad and his bride went on many further adventures and journeys; from the fact that Sinbad was a distant ancestor of Donald Duck, it can further be presumed that they eventually had at least one child together.
Behind the scenes[]
Deysi appears in the 1985 story The Adventures of Sinbad Duck. Although the story does not state on which side of the family Sinbad and Deysi are ancestors to Donald Duck, the presence of Sinbad's diary in Scrooge McDuck's archives suggests Donald is likely related to them via the McDucks.
With The Adventures of Sinbad Duck being one of the Great Parodies, Deysi is obviously intended to be a “historical lookalike” of Daisy Duck.
