Donald Duck and the Alternate Lives (Paperino e le Possibilità Alternative in the original Italian), or simply The Alternative Lives, is a comic story written by Carlo Panaro Bosco and drawn by Paolo De Lorenzi. It features Donald Duck, his counterparts Sir Donald and Donald the soccer-player, Gyro Gearloose, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, the versions of Scrooge, Gladstone, Daisy, Elvira and Huey, Dewey and Louie from Sir Donald's World, as well as James and the President, two original characters from Sir Donald's World and Soccer Donald's World respectively.
Plot[]
After a rather bad day, Donald Duck volunteers to test out a new invention of Gyro's which uses captured Time Particles to send Donald's mind into the body of his counterpart in a parallel universe of his choosing. The two alternate realities he ends up in — one where he is a rich businessman, and the other with him as a star sportsman — seem idyllic at first, but isn't it only a case of grass always looking greener in the next meadow?
