The Dragon of Dragonia is a male non-sapient dragon.

Description[]

This large dragon (long thought to be the last of his species, although this was far from true) terrorized the small, rural island of Dragonia in the middle of the 20th century. Nearly invulnerable and able to breathe fire, the dragon had a strange obsession with herding all the cows he could his claws on, which was a bit of a problem for a country like Dragonia whose economy was primarily based on the sale of dairy products. Peter Pan took an interest in the matter and fought the dragon several times, but unsuccessfully, despite the help of the fairy Tinker Bell.

Finally, as a last resort, Peter called in three children, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, who had showed idle interest in fighting a "real, live dragon". The three managed to find the dragon's weak point — it was ticklish at the end of its tail — and soon the beast was tied up and harmless. As reward for their services, the Dragonian authorities handed ownership of the subdued dragon over to the Ducks; Huey, Dewey and Louie didn't know quite what to make of it, but Donald decided to accept the gift, planning to sell the creature to his uncle Scrooge to guard one of his vaults. Whether he followed through on this plan is unknown.

Behind the scenes[]

The Dragon of Dragonia was only ever seen in the 1953 story Donald Duck meets Peter Pan.
