Duckenstein is a monster resembling an anthropomorphic duck.
Description[]
“Little Duckenstein” was one of the monsters invited in 1952 to an evening in the Haunted Mansion by then-Ghost-Host Phyllis Diller, alongside the Big Bad Wolf, Brer Bear and Count Dracula. Duckenstein bore a curious resemblance to Donald Duck, but had the half-lidded eyes and bizarrely-shaped forehead of Frankenstein's Monster.
Behind the scenes[]
Duckenstein appears in the 1972 The Mouse Factory episode Spooks and Magic. He is, of course, a parody of Frankenstein's Monster, portrayed by a lookalike of Donald Duck. It is unclear how one might reconcile the existence of this Duckenstein with the events depicted in the Great Parody of Frankenstein, also entitled Duckenstein, but where Victor von Duckenstein is the name of the scientist while the creature — who does not look much like the 1972 Duckenstein — is called Growl.
