Mr von Duckenstein and Mrs von Duckenstein née von Duck, the Duckenstein Parents, were a male and female anthropomorphic duck, respectively.

Description

Originally from Geneva, these two wealthy 18th century socialites spent most of their lives traveling all through Europe. They had a son, Victor von Duckenstein, whom they placed in the care of his uncle Scrooge von Duck.

Behind the scenes

The Duckenstein Parents briefly appear in the 2016 story Duckenstein.

As the story is one of the Grandi Parodie, they serve as the story's equivalents to the secondary characters of the original Frankenstein parents. The original Frankensteins were not noted to be constant travelers, nor did they abandon their son to a relative.
