Ducking Out is a comic story by an unknown writer, penciled by Tony Strobl and inked by Steve Steere. It features Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, Elvira Duck and Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck.
Plot
Donald Duck's suspicions about Scrooge McDuck's sudden decision to visit Grandma Duck's Farm proves to be justified when it turns out Scrooge is here to collect a debt of two dollars. Appalled by his uncle's avarice, Donald sets out to passive-aggressively shame him into failing to collect.
References
- Elvira Duck apparently owes Scrooge McDuck two dollars.
Continuity
- Interestingly, the story starts with the idea that Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck don't know much about Scrooge McDuck's personal relationship to Grandma Duck, nor indeed that he likes the Farm. This suggests the story may actually take place a substantial number of years earlier than it was released, a short time after Christmas on Bear Mountain (1947).
