The Easter Bells are magical, sentient bells.

Description[edit | edit source]

The Easter Bells are large animate, winged bells who fly through the sky on Easter, sharing the role of embodiments of the holiday with the Easter Bunny. Though their origin and purpose are unclear, their existence is well-known throughout the world, with Mickey Mouse even playing with one on one occasion.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

An Easter Bell first appeared in the 1960 comic Happy Easter. A flock is later seen in the 2000 story Lost in the Jungle.

It is no surprise that both stories are by French authors, as Easter Bells, basically unknown in the Anglosphere, are instead key to France’s Easter folklore.
