Edward “Eddie” Valiant is a human man.
Description
A clown reconverted into a hardboiled private eye, Eddie Valiant started out as one of the only flesh-and-blood detectives willing to work for Toons in Toontown, along with his brother Teddy. It took the murder of Teddy at the hands of an unknown Toon to make Eddie into the typical bitter, somewhat alcoholic noir detective, a state he was jolted out of when he met Roger Rabbit and exposed Teddy's murderer, the mad Baron Von Rotten, in 1947.
Behind the scenes
Eddie Valiant was first seen in 1988 in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He is closely based on the character of the same name in Gary K. Wolf's original novel Who Censored Roger Rabbit?.
