The Evil Door is a living door.

DescriptionEdit

Given life by the Horned King with Illusion Magic, this cursed door in the Phantom's Castle was the only way to move forward towards the King's throne-room. As its name implies, the Evil Door was vicious and animate, and would attempt to eat anyone who wanted to use it; it was necessary to jump on its head and knock it out to be able to pass (which Mickey Mouse eventually managed in 1993 when he defeated the Horned King).

Behind the scenesEdit

The Evil Door was created for the 1993 video game Land of Illusion.

The Evil Door is an example of a classic video game enemy, the "Mimic", a monster that takes the form of an innocuous item. The most well-known example of a Mimic are chests who are actually man-eating monsters.
