Ezra Beetle is an anthropomorphic bug (specifically a Bootle Beetle).

Description[edit | edit source]

A young and adventurous Bootle Beetle, Ezra is the grandson of Grandpa Bootle Beetle. Often frustrated with what he considered a boring life, living first in a meadow and later in an abandoned lot and eating beans every night, Ezra tried to run away and find some excitement on several occasions, however, he was warned from doing this by Grandpa Bootle Beetle, who had done similar things in his youth and met with great danger.

It would seem that Ezra eventually stopped living with Grandpa Beetle, likely having grown up and moved out on his own, as he no longer accompanied the older bug upon the latter's move to Junkville. The exact fate of Ezra Beetle therefore remains unknown.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Ezra first appeared in Bootle Beetle in 1947. He later appeared in The Greener Yard in 1949.

Ezra Beetle may also be one of the two young Bootle Beetles who appear in Morris, the Midget Moose; however, this is unconfirmed.
