The Fair Folk were the nation of pixies living in Prydain in the Dark Ages.
Description[]
The Fair Folk were all the pixies who lived in Prydain under the rule of King Eidilleg. They were known for wisdom and magical knowledge, though most of them were childlike and mischievous, and were distrustful of humans, although the wizard Dallben was apparently on friendly terms with them.
Behind the scenes[]
The Fair Folk first appeared in 1985 in The Black Cauldron. They are based on the characters of the same name in Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain. However, in Alexander's book, the Fair Folk was the nation of all magical beings in Prydain, as opposed to just pixies; and in fact, King Eidilleg was himself a dwarf rather than a pixie.
