Faris D'jinn is an anthropomorphic dog from the 2017 Continuum.
Description[]
An unsmiling motorcycle-driving Middle-Eastern warrior never seen without his sword or cloak, D'Jinn is the last of a long line descended directly from the First Genie, who turned himself mortal and married a human woman. Highly invested in the epic grandeur of the centuries-spanning "tale of the Lamp", he had sworn to retrieve his supernatural ancestor's Magic Lamp before his 2019 birthday, which led to him invading McDuck Manor in an effort to get it from Scrooge. D'Jinn subsequently shared an adventure with the Ducks in an effort to get back the lamp, which had fallen into the hands of Ma Beagle.
Behind the scenes[]
He debuted in the 9th episode of Season 2 of DuckTales 2017, Treasure of the Found Lamp.
He is a counterpart to the original series' recurring villain Dijon, his name, appearance and motivation functioning as a "serious" take on the same concepts that were, in the original, played decidedly for laughs.
