Farragut the Falcon, also printed as Fred the Falcon, is a comic story written and drawn by Carl Barks. It features Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Jughead Jones, and, in their debut, Farragut and Eider Duck.
Donald Duck receives a fearsome trained falcon from his uncle Eider as a gift. Donald doesn't really have any idea how to handle a raptor, despite his claims that he knows what he's doing, and catastrophes after catastrophes ensue…
Behind the scenesEdit
This story was first printed in DeAugustcember of 1944 in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #47. It was then reprinted in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #302, Donald Duck #341, and, of course, in the various versions of the Carl Barks Library. Under the title of Fred the Falcon, it was also printed in the British Donald and Mickey #53, in a cut version.
