Les Cascadeurs du Bouddha, or Stuntment of the Buddha in English, is two-page comic story by Daan Jippes. It features Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, Spirou, Fantasio, the Marsupilami, Gaston Lagaffe and Pacôme de Champignac.

Description[]

The "story" presents itself as the cover of a typical Spirou & Fantasio book alongside a panel taken from the story (without context). The scene seems to take place, in both case, in the Valley of the Seven Buddhas, where Scrooge McDuck and Donald and Spirou and Fantasio (plus their Marsupilami and the Count of Champignac)'s adventure is interrupted by the bumbling of Gaston Lagaffe.

Behind the scenes[]

This gag story was created by Daan Jippes and posted on Facebook in February of 2014. The cover is a spoof of that of Prisoner of the Buddha.

The illustration Meeting of Two Worlds is closely related to Stuntmen of the Buddha, an earlier creation of Daan Jippes's which further cements the connection between the Duck and Spirou franchises. It can also be likened to Mickey Mouse's Adventures in Palombia.
