Hades, also known as Pluto, is a god and Hades's counterpart from the 2017 Continuum.
Description[]
The oldest of the Olympian gods, Hades is nonetheless subservient to his brother Zeus, the king of the gods. After the defeat of the Titans, Hades was landed with the unenviable role of god of the Underworld. This saw him take charge of the spirits of the dead, as well as become the jailor for the defeated Titans. With his throne atop a mountain of bones, Hades presides over his domain, disliking his appointed tasks but recognizing their necessity.
Where Zeus shows a marked dislike of mortals and all things associated with them, Hades demonstrates an appreciation for certain mortal advancements, using a smartphone to communicate with his fellow gods and to listen to music. In 2020, Zeus contacted Hades from McDuck Manor, wanting him to cause an undead uprising. Hades refused, based on the need to continue monitoring the Titans; Zeus promptly ordered him to release one, only for Hades to reveal full awareness that Zeus had been stripped of his powers by Selene and Storkules. Hades found the whole situation hilarious, a sentiment he repeated after Zeus fell into the Underworld with a defeated Crownus.
