In 1939, Mickey Mouse had to resort to stealing a camera coveted by the Phantom Blot from Silas Perkins's young niece instead of buying it as he'd originally planned, because he was unable to get a hold of the girl's mother due to her being “off at Aunt Gussie's”. As Silas Perkins referred to said mother as “his sister”, singular, it is likely that Gussie is the sister of the girl's father, and Silas's sister-in-law.
