Description[]
Bald Rock is a barren rock formation, located on the Northern end of Morgan's Island. It was marked out by Henry Morgan as a step on the way to his treasure on his map of the Island.
Behind the scenes[]
Bald Rock appears on the treasure map in the 1942 Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold. It is notably the only named landmark on the map not to be visited by the characters in the actual story.
A Bald Rock was again featured in the loose remake, and de facto prequel, to Donald Duck Finds Pirate Gold, 1953's Captain Hook and the Buried Treasure. However, it is located on a different (if similar) treasure island, off the coast of Great Britain, and thus cannot be held to be the same rock formation.
