Peg-Leg Pete's one-time Pirate Parrot Partner is a male anthropomorphic parrot.

Description[]

An old sailor much like (and physically nearly identical to) Ol'Yellow Beak, this cunning pirate was a member of Duckburg's underworld by 1957, when he and Peg-Leg Pete, out on a walk, overheard Yellow Beak telling Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck about an expedition to go find a certain treasure on a certain island. Unbeknownst to the Ducks, the treasure was actually a crate full of an old brand of hardtacks that had become impossible to find, to the distress of nostalgic old salts everywhere.

In any event, after the parrot alerted other criminals in an effort to build up a crew of henchpeople — though the only ones to answer the call, the Beagle Boys, ended up working for themselves —, he and Pete smuggled themselves onto the Ducks' ship. After they were exposed, he and Pete took control of the ship, casting the others adrift. The Ducks and Yellow Beak still managed to get to the island before them, however, and when Pete tried to take the unearthed treasure from them at gunpoint, Scrooge managed to wrestle the weapon out of his hands and put him out of commission. It is unclear whether the parrot was arrested too or fled the scene.

Behind the scenes[]

“Pete's Pirate Parrot Partner” (who is never actually named in any way) appears in the 1957 story The Treasure of Yellow Beak.
