The Scarab Staff was an enchanted staff from the Diamond Universe, the original form of the Golden Scarab.
Description[]
The Parrot Staff was, in one timeline, a uniquely powerful scarab-themed equivalent of Jafar's Snake Staff and Iago's Parrot Staff, all three being rare, powerful magical artifacts. Unlike Jafar and Iago, the Mage did not primarily use this staff to work his magic, only using the artifact to summon the Cave of Wonders. In an effort to keep Jafar from ever finding the Cave again, the Mage attempted to shatter the Staff just before he was transformed into the Magic Carpet, but the essential parts of the Scarab Staff would eventually be reassembled into the equally-effective Golden Scarab.
