Description[]
This mysterious wooden birdhouse with one puzzlingly boarded-up window can be found near the Haunted Mansion since about 2017. It apparently does not belong to Edgar the Raven, but is intended as a home for other birds on the Mansion premises — though who built the birdhouse is unknown.
Behind the scenes[]
The Foreboding Birdhouse was added to New Orleans Square in Disneyland around 2017. There was much speculation that it might have some connection to the Raven, but a Disneyland representative eventually explained that it was actually intended as a home for the actual birds who nest in the area, with the Mansion-theming as an extra, rather than an important design alteration to the Mansion.
