Scrooge McDuck Wikia

Gems For Free, also known as the Rockhounds’ Guide, is a guidebook.

Description[]

Gems For Free is a guidebook to hunting for gems in the American wilderness. Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck owned a copy by 1952, leading their uncle Donald to use it when he wanted to prove himself superior to Gladstone Gander (who had recently found a diamond in Duckburg Park). The book gave information on how to recognise gems and on where to find them, but failed to lead the Ducks to fortune.

Behind the scenes[]

Gems For Free was only ever seen in the 1952 Carl Barks story Fortune-Hunting.
