Genghis Khan was an anthropomorphic cat or dog.
Genghis Khan was one of the most-feared barbarian warlords in history. He lost a crown to a female Yeti while crossing the Himalayas on horseback, and later acquired a second, more famous Crown set with a jewel for each city he ever plundered (which made up quite a number of jewels indeed).
Behind the scenes
Genghis Khan, based on the historical figure of the same name, was first mentioned in Carl Barks's 1956 The Lost Crown of Genghis Khan before appearing in the flesh in the 1987 episode of DuckTales, Lost Crown of Genghis Khan (where his design was lifted off Peg-Leg Pete's).
Genghis also appeared prominently in the 2002 story Genghis Don, where a time-traveling incident accidentally brings him to modern-day Duckburg; though of similar proportions to the earlier design for the Mongol leader, the version of Genghis Khan in the story was depicted as an anthropomorphic dog.
