The Ghost of Christmas Past is a major character of Charles Dickens's famous novella A Christmas Carol, an incarnation of the nostalgia of past Christmases who shows Ebenezer Scrooge scenes of his past in a joint effort with the Ghosts of Christmas Present and Future to make him realize the error of his ways. The Ghost of Christmas Past has been impersonated, and portrayed on-stage; by many people, including Jiminy Cricket. His appearance from one portrayal to another varies greatly, though a diminutive size is a constant.
