This version of Gladstone Gander grew up without Donald Duck (who does not exist in his universe), but had largely the same life. In the later 1930's however, he became the guardian of Huey, Dewey and Louie, his cousin Della's sons, whom he tried to raise well but ended up inadvertently spoiling rotten because of his luck. At some point before the 1960's, he stumbled upon what would have been Donald's 313 in the Prime Universe, and decided to make it his main car. He once briefly met a dimension-traveling Donald after Donald had unwittingly stolen said car, believing it to still be his even in this universe.
Behind the scenesEdit
This version of Gladstone only ever appeared in the 1994 story The Duck Who Never Was.
Interestingly, Gladstone (aside from full-on villains) is the only character in the Donaldless Continuum shown to be happier than his Prime Universe counterpart, likely because his life has been more fulfilling with children to share his luck with — badly though he may have bungled their education.
