Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera invented the gold magnet for McDuck Enterprises. He was going to show the magnet to Gandra Dee on their date, but thought better of it after Gandra complained of the potential mining applications for the Universal Solvent, even facetiously wondering if Scrooge McDuck would expect Fenton to invent a gold magnet next.
