Halloween Haunting is a comic story written by an unknown author, penciled by Tony Strobl and inked by Steve Steere. It features Witch Hazel, Beezebub the Broom and Witchis Witch.
Plot[]
It's almost Halloween, and Witch Hazel has many spooky plans up her sleeve for the ghostliest of nights. Unfortunately, her unbearable bratty nephew Witchis Witch comes to visit. After Hazel laughs off drawings of monsters that scared Witchis himself, the witch-boy decides to summon a horde of wacky monsters to prove that he really is good at halloweening.
Behind the scenes[]
This story was first printed in December of 1964 in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #291; it was then reprented in 2016 in Disney's Giant Halloween Hex #1. It marks the first appearance of Witchis Witch.
Interestingly, the title card only refers to Hazel as "The Witch" in the first printing, whereas the 2016 reprint lists her as "Witch Hazel".
