"Hofrat" von Drake is an anthropomorphic duck, and also presumably part-Goose. He is the father of Ludwig von Drake, and the husband of Mrs Von Drake.
Hofrat is only a title, his real name is unknown. He was also a fire-fighter, according to his son.
