The Horses are a pair of non-anthropomorphic horses.
Description[]
Two kind-hearted horses often used to pull sleighs, the couple were in the service of Jenny and Joe in the late 1940s. While the young couple were on a date one winter's day, the horses helped to save their lives after they ended up on thin ice.
Later, one of the two pulled a sleigh holding Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto across a frozen pond as Mickey attempted to teach Donald about holiday traditions through song.
Behind the scenes[]
The two horses first appeared in Melody Time in 1948, in the segment Once Upon a Wintertime. One of them later made a cameo appearance in 2016 in Duck the Halls.
