House of Haunts is a comic story written and drawn by Carl Barks. It features Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, the Beagle Boys, Judge Owl and, as a portrait, the Mad Duke of Duckburg.

Plot[]

The Beagle Boys are due to be released from an extended stay in prison very soon. This has left Scrooge McDuck enough time to prepare by hiding the contents of his Money Bin in a safe place: a cache underneath the reputedly haunted Castle of the Mad Duke of Duckburg, which he has, additionally, riddled with traps. Unfortunately, the Beagle Boys are out in time to follow him to the hiding place; after collecting some of the cash, they decide to use a technique they found in an old book to render Scrooge amnesiac, making him forget the last few months. After a series of misunderstandings, Scrooge, with the help of his nephews, is forced to follow the Beagles' own tracks to retrieve his fortune.

This story was first printed in 1966 in Uncle Scrooge #63. It was then reprinted in Uncle Scrooge #129, Best Comic Series #4, Uncle Scrooge #273, The Adventures of Uncle Scrooge McDuck in Color #52 and Uncle Scrooge #358.
