House of Mouse, commonly referred to as Disney's House of Mouse, was an animated cartoon series created between 2001 and 2003, in honor of the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney's birth.

General Plot[]

The show centers on the titular House of Mouse, an evening theatrical club created by Mickey Mouse and some of his close friends (including such people as Gus Goose and Daisy Duck). The House hosts dinners attended by a variety of famous characters from all over space and history, from demonic abominations to schoolteachers, and has a selection of cartoons narrating the life of Mickey and friends as its main entertainment. All is not fun and games, though: despite the house's strict "no scheming or feuding" policy, villainous sorts are always stirring up trouble, especially Jafar; Pete is the landlord of the House and wants nothing more than to see it close down; and Daisy Duck's insistance to perform on-stage even though she hasn't even the inkling of a good number is constantly causing problems…

Behind the scenes[]

The show was created in 2001 in honor of the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney's birth, and served as the continuation of the anthology block Mickey Mouse Works, becoming the host for new Disney shorts.

The film led to the creation of two feature-lengths specials, Mickey's House of Villains and Mickey's Magical Christmas.
