The Jupiter Animal Ministry, or J.A.M., is a Jovian government organization on the planet Jupiter.

Description

The J.A.M. is, presumably, in charge of studying and regulating noteworthy animals on the planet Jupiter. In 1960, they paid a hefty price to a certain fisherman for bringing them "a strange, talking creature" — Donald Duck. A trio of J.A.M. Scientists then tried to experiment on Donald to figure out the extent of his intelligence. However, Donald's temper proved unworkable, and the Ministry soon discontinued its experimentation program and sent Donald to a zoo.

Behind the scenes

The Jupiter Animal Ministry appears in the 1960 story Uncle Scrooge's Money Rocket and its adaptations. Its original Italian name more directly translates to Jovian Veterinary Academy.
