Professor J. M. Redundant is a male dognose.
A scholarly scientist specializing in physics, the good-natured J. M. Redundant worked for the U.S. Army during World War II. In 1943, Mickey Mouse brought him his accidental invention, the Electro-Box, along with his materialized ancestor Jonathan Mouse as evidence of the Box's potency.
Redundant was the first person to believe Mickey about the Box, but, unforuntately, got carried away while testing it and was disintegrated by the box's ray. Fortunately, and unbeknownst to Mickey at the time, Redundant rematerialized (with his hay fever cured) once Mickey left the building. Fascinated, Redundant later sought out Mickey along with a team of his colleagues, and they took custody of the Box.
Behind the scenesEdit
Professor Redundant only ever appeared in the 1943-1944 comic strip serial The 'Lectro Box.
