Description
J. P. Pile is a well-dressed dognose with dark hair and a mustache. He is a notable millionaire who, by 1966, had become a recognizable figure, well-known enough to be instantly recognized by Donald Duck. Other than this title of "millionaire", little is known about J. P. Pile's background and work. He seems to be a relatively generous man, offering four plane tickets to Donald and his nephews without asking for any compensation. He also appears to be a husband the father of two boys who were still young in 1966.
Behind the scenes
J. P. Pile's first and only known appearance was in The Battle at Hadrian's Wall, a comic story released in 1966, written by Vic Lockman, and penciled by Tony Strobl. His name, "J. P.", might be a reference to the famed real-world banker, J. P. Morgan.
