Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun in the Solar System.
Description[]
Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar System. It is home to flourishing flora and fauna, with a relatively advanced civilization of metal-eating green humanoids called Jovians as its primary sentient species, and giant mushrooms that grow in a night as the main form of plant-life. Ever since Earth's 10th century, the forces of neighboring planet Saturn have made endless attempts to conquer Jupiter, to no avail.
Behind the scenes[]
The planet Jupiter first appeared in Disney media, as far as is known, in the 1957 Carl Barks story Gyro's Imagination Invention. It reappeared in a number of stories. As shown in Uncle Scrooge's Money Rocket, the Disney version of Jupiter is a telluric planet with a breathable atmosphere, as opposed to a gas giant.
