Klara von Drake is a female anthropomorphic duck from the 2017 Continuum.
Description
The loving daughter of Ludwig von Drake, Anya von Drake apparently grew up to be a scientist like her father, though she is not as much of a genius, nor, thankfully, as eccentric, as the original Professor Von Drake. Alongside her much less level-headed sister Klara and her sensitive but ingenious brother Corvus, Klara continues to take care of her father's magnum opus, the Von Drake Doomsday Vault.
Behind the scenes
Klara von Drake debuted in Raiders of the Doomsday Vault, a 2019 episode of DuckTales 2017. She is the only one of the Von Drake children to have any actual lines, and is shown to share her father's Austrian accent.
The episode does not say who the Von Drake children's mother was, and Francisco Angones has, on Frank Angones and the Suspenders of Disbelief, refused to comment. Taking into account Klara's resemblance to the older Prime Matilda McDuck as depicted by Don Rosa, however, it is thought highly likely that in this continuity as well, Ludwig married Matilda. This does run into the snag that Scrooge, in his brief meeting with him, does not treat Klara as his niece, however.
