Lagash was one of the many city states that made up the civilization of Sumer.

DescriptionEdit

Lagash was settled upon the Tigris and Euphrates river during the Mesopotamian era of Iraq around 5,000 years ago. The city was close to Ur, Uruk, Nippur and Babylon. North to the city laid the cities of Ashur and Ninive, and to the south was the Persian Gulf.

Behind the scenesEdit

Lagash was a real-life city state founded over 5,000 years ago, as it was active in the 3rd millennium BC.

The city appeared in The Cradle of Civilization, a 2011 article featured in La Storia Universale #3.
