Lord Thymon and the Department of Problem-Solving is a written story by Aristide Twain, illustrated by the same. It features the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids, and, in their debuts, the titular Lord Thymon and individual Cupids Pythagoras-858, Carter-1277, Edwin-750, Juliet-178 and Valerius-1497. The Supreme Quaestor, Sherlock Holmes and Enrico are mentioned, as is “the Creator”.
Description[]
At the heart of the Cupid Homeworld, Pythagoras-858 and the rest of the Department of Problem-Solving try to figure out a way to protect time-traveling Cupid from a time demon known as Lord Thymon. All the Problem-Solvers can come up with is an insane-sounding scheme involving a hall filled with a sea of clocks… but it might just be crazy enough to work.

Continuity[]

- Cupid Fact File No. 444 — The Faction of the Fooling Fish (2019), which takes place after Marksmanship-522 and the Multi-Dimensional Race, where Thymon already lives in the Homeworld and works for the Post Office, takes place in April of 2011, establishing that this story presumably took place eight years earlier than its release date in the real world.
Behind the scenes[]
This short story was first released in March of 2019 on the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids website, and was later collected with the other first three short Cupid short stories in The Quintessential Cupid, with two new illustrations and a brand-new cover.
It was the first fully narrative short story released there, following several Cupid Fact Files and the introductory post Our Latest Success Story. It marks what appears to be the first in-universe mention of the term Prime Universe.
