Lovecraftian Demons, or alternatively Eldritch Abomination, is a collective name for a type of demonic, eldritch sentient beings.
Description[]
Lovecraftian Demons (who may or may not have any particular relationship with actual Demons) are extradimensional horrors who are, by definition, alien to the Prime Universe, or, for that matter, most Parallel Universes that would resemble it. As they come from universes with rules quite far removed from the real world's, Lovecraftian Demons function on a warped and barely understandable logic that boggles the mind, and they possess supernatural capabilities that seem to trump magic itself.
Lovecraftian Demons sometimes cross over into other universes or interact with them. One, C'rruso, had come to rest in a sea cave in the Prime Universe at some point prior to 2004, and maintained it through his dreaming; should he cease to dream, the world would be destroyed. Another, the more articulate Duckthulhu, was the basis of a cult which sought to bring him to that same universe so that he may take it over using his dark powers. Others yet crossed over into the 2017 Continuum, but were defeated and imprisoned in objects known as Rubickian Prison Boxes.
Many Lovecraftian Demons dwell, or become trapped, in the Void; indeed, some are (or are believed to be) native to it, such as Lord Thymon.[NON-DISNEY]
Behind the scenes[]
The first known Lovecraftian Demon to be featured was C'rruso, int he 2004 story The Call of C'rruso. However, it was only in 2018 on Frank Angones and the Suspenders of Disbelief that the "species" (such as it is)'s name was revealed.
