Description[edit | edit source]
A bumbling Belgian businessman, M. Papillon was the owner of the Moustic Hotel in 1938, and, as such, Spirou's first boss in the 1930's and 1940's. Papillon even contributed to the adventurous bellhop's creation, as he commissioned it to the Maestro in 1938.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
M. Papillon debuted in the 1938 comic page La Naissance de Spirou — The Birth of Spirou in English, alongside Spirou himself. Being a Spirou character, he does not belong to the Walt Disney Company, although Spirou is considered canon on this wiki.
